You may think if you have a garage your vehicle is 100% safe, and this may be true for many people, but in some cases leaving your car in a garage can work against you. Let’s say you have a detached garage and it’s a bit further down the road or set away from your lovely house, then you won’t be able to watch it all of the time or listen out for any suspicious noises, so burglars will know this. They’ll then be more likely to track down a garage that is some distance away from the actual house. That said, the car itself isn’t something many burglars want. They want easy cash, not a car that’s easily trackable by police, so in that sense, you should always feel as though your car is pretty safe. You can improve safety further by adding CCTV cameras and alarms to your garage, but then again, this does let people know you have something worth protecting, which isn’t always a good thing!
