Protecting Yourself At All Times

Posted on August 27, 2021 at 7:58 am

Depending on what industry you work within, you may wish to protect yourself at all times. This is especially important for those who are well known, celebrities or working in high-end fashion stores for example. There will be a time where you feel as if you always want to be protected, this could be after a tragic event, or if you are worried about your own / business premises safety.

So, how can you protect yourself at all times?

One of the easiest ways to keep yourself protected at all times is to never go out alone. Whether you decide to hire your own personal security guard if you have the funds to do so. Or if you ask friends and family members to come out with you at all times. This will help you to feel more protected when leaving your home as others will be there to help you.

Another way to protect yourself is to wear a body camera. Yes, this may spoil your outfit, but it will keep you protected. This will help you to gain video footage if anything, were to happen to you whilst you, were out alone. You could also decide to just have a hidden mic so your outfit will not be ruined but you will be able to capture voice footage of any abuse you get.

Finally, if you feel as if you need to, you can carry around something called a safety keychain. This keychain has items attached to it that you are legally allowed to carry for your own protection. This will help you to keep yourself safe, as well as make you feel more confident to be out alone.

So, if you are someone who does not feel safe about heading out alone, do not worry. There are things you can do to make heading out feel safer, giving you more protection and security.

Is crime rising in London?

Posted on August 19, 2021 at 6:53 am

Crime is up across England and Wales, with London seeing the biggest rise in offences. Nationally there was a 15% increase in crime-related incidents.

Crime increased by 14 per cent in London over the last year. With 699 homicides this year so far – including five people who died following outbreaks of violence at English Defence League rallies – there were 1,056 more violent crimes than the previous year.

How do businesses combat rising crime rates?

Some crime is expected in most areas of the city, or any large city for that matter. For businesses that experience a high amount of crime, it may be necessary to invest in higher levels of security and hiring more guards for protection. This would likely cause costs to rise and profits to fall though, especially if you were to employ guards. Cutting down on hours during less popular times or changing locations can also help deter criminals from targeting certain businesses, but doing so could impact revenue as well.

Businesses should work with their local police station and insurance company to determine what safety precautions are recommended based on the types of crimes typically committed within the area where they operate. A series of cameras and alarm systems may be an effective way that affects a business’s success, such as theft or vandalism.

Why it may be best to use outsourced security services

Ultimately, it is up to the business owner to determine how much of a risk they believe crime poses against their bottom line and operations. Before making an investment in security systems or hiring private security, business owners should weigh all of their options and even research what other businesses in similar fields are doing for safety precautions. Security companies may be able to make recommendations based on the types of crime committed most often in the area where they operate, as well as help with the installation and maintenance of new technology. Additionally, many such companies offer flexible plans that allow clients to scale back on services during slower times when there is less risk for criminal activity.

What is CCTV security monitoring and how can it help London firms?

CCTV stands for closed-circuit television, which is now more commonly referred to as video surveillance. A CCTV system is a system composed of one or more cameras and some means of recording the images produced (e.g., videotapes or digital storage media). Surveillance cameras are often in plain sight but are sometimes hidden. They may be monitored by onsite personnel, law enforcement officers, or maybe watched remotely by security personnel.

Public space surveillance can also be used at mass gatherings such as parades, protests, strikes or rallies. Cameras are usually either “fixed in place”, or can pan, tilt, and zoom. The cameras in CCTV systems are often placed in many different locations. The visibility of the camera’s field of view may also be limited by physical objects such as walls.

Remote monitoring is where a security company in London will monitor your premises using CCTV cameras 24/7 (or likely a team of guards), and then they can alert intruders or identify suspicious behaviour before it becomes a big, costly incident for your business.
