Protecting Your Home This Christmas – CCTV Cameras

Posted on December 15, 2021 at 10:28 am

Christmas is an amazing time of year. But unfortunately, not everyone gets in the festive spirit of giving gifts and being kind to one another. Some people will go out and still deem it necessary to commit crimes to people properties during the Christmas period, and this is becoming even more common as time passes.

With homes across the UK being filled with new gifts, Christmas decorations inside and out, it’s no wonder why criminals target homes at Christmas time.

This is why we all must do what we can to protect our homes during this time. Whilst we are likely to be home, this does not mean criminals will not enter whilst we are sleeping or the short periods when we are out on school runs or shopping. So, to protect your home we would recommend installing CCTV cameras. This way you will have 24hour footage of your home, if anything were to happen, you would be able to look back on the footage and gain a clear view of the criminal to be able to report this to the police.

Protecting Yourself At All Times

Posted on August 27, 2021 at 7:58 am

Depending on what industry you work within, you may wish to protect yourself at all times. This is especially important for those who are well known, celebrities or working in high-end fashion stores for example. There will be a time where you feel as if you always want to be protected, this could be after a tragic event, or if you are worried about your own / business premises safety.

So, how can you protect yourself at all times?

One of the easiest ways to keep yourself protected at all times is to never go out alone. Whether you decide to hire your own personal security guard if you have the funds to do so. Or if you ask friends and family members to come out with you at all times. This will help you to feel more protected when leaving your home as others will be there to help you.

Another way to protect yourself is to wear a body camera. Yes, this may spoil your outfit, but it will keep you protected. This will help you to gain video footage if anything, were to happen to you whilst you, were out alone. You could also decide to just have a hidden mic so your outfit will not be ruined but you will be able to capture voice footage of any abuse you get.

Finally, if you feel as if you need to, you can carry around something called a safety keychain. This keychain has items attached to it that you are legally allowed to carry for your own protection. This will help you to keep yourself safe, as well as make you feel more confident to be out alone.

So, if you are someone who does not feel safe about heading out alone, do not worry. There are things you can do to make heading out feel safer, giving you more protection and security.

Is crime rising in London?

Posted on August 19, 2021 at 6:53 am

Crime is up across England and Wales, with London seeing the biggest rise in offences. Nationally there was a 15% increase in crime-related incidents.

Crime increased by 14 per cent in London over the last year. With 699 homicides this year so far – including five people who died following outbreaks of violence at English Defence League rallies – there were 1,056 more violent crimes than the previous year.

How do businesses combat rising crime rates?

Some crime is expected in most areas of the city, or any large city for that matter. For businesses that experience a high amount of crime, it may be necessary to invest in higher levels of security and hiring more guards for protection. This would likely cause costs to rise and profits to fall though, especially if you were to employ guards. Cutting down on hours during less popular times or changing locations can also help deter criminals from targeting certain businesses, but doing so could impact revenue as well.

Businesses should work with their local police station and insurance company to determine what safety precautions are recommended based on the types of crimes typically committed within the area where they operate. A series of cameras and alarm systems may be an effective way that affects a business’s success, such as theft or vandalism.

Why it may be best to use outsourced security services

Ultimately, it is up to the business owner to determine how much of a risk they believe crime poses against their bottom line and operations. Before making an investment in security systems or hiring private security, business owners should weigh all of their options and even research what other businesses in similar fields are doing for safety precautions. Security companies may be able to make recommendations based on the types of crime committed most often in the area where they operate, as well as help with the installation and maintenance of new technology. Additionally, many such companies offer flexible plans that allow clients to scale back on services during slower times when there is less risk for criminal activity.

What is CCTV security monitoring and how can it help London firms?

CCTV stands for closed-circuit television, which is now more commonly referred to as video surveillance. A CCTV system is a system composed of one or more cameras and some means of recording the images produced (e.g., videotapes or digital storage media). Surveillance cameras are often in plain sight but are sometimes hidden. They may be monitored by onsite personnel, law enforcement officers, or maybe watched remotely by security personnel.

Public space surveillance can also be used at mass gatherings such as parades, protests, strikes or rallies. Cameras are usually either “fixed in place”, or can pan, tilt, and zoom. The cameras in CCTV systems are often placed in many different locations. The visibility of the camera’s field of view may also be limited by physical objects such as walls.

Remote monitoring is where a security company in London will monitor your premises using CCTV cameras 24/7 (or likely a team of guards), and then they can alert intruders or identify suspicious behaviour before it becomes a big, costly incident for your business.

When Should I Invest In Video Surveillance?

Posted on July 13, 2021 at 1:25 pm

Video Surveillance, which can also be known as CCTV, is one of the main security systems that businesses across the United Kingdom choose to invest in. But, when is the right time for businesses to invest in CCTV cameras?

There is no hiding it, video surveillance is an expensive investment for any business. No matter how large or small, the price stays around the same per camera and set up. So, when is it the right time for this expensive investment?

The best time to take this step is when your business wants more protection. If you are noticing more customers coming into your store. Or there may be more crime occurring in the surrounding area. You should not stress yourself over installing CCTV. It is not necessary for every business, even though it can help with your insurance. Most companies should consider installing this system as soon as their budget allows.

What Is The Best Type of Security For My Business?

Posted on June 16, 2021 at 7:45 am

Businesses, security should always be one of your top considerations. You want to protect your business, not put it in danger. So, what are some of the best types of security for your business premises?

It can sometimes be hard to distinguish what will be a good type of security for your business. This all depends on the type of business that you own and want to protect. Is it a business with lots of products that could be stolen, a business in a high crime area, or a business where there are likely to be human disagreements? All of these thoughts will help you to choose the best security features for you. What may be the best for one business, will not be the best for every business out there.

Saying that one of the best pieces of security equipment you can purchase, that we believe every company should invest in is CCTV. This serves the excellent purpose of providing you with video footage to protect your business. So, if anyone were to shoplift, or any altercations on your premises, you will have footage to be able to settle the debate and protect your business.

Another option for some businesses that may be best for you is hiring a security guard. This is a good idea if you are working in a business sector where there is likely to be disagreements, for example as a lawyer or in a jobcentre. They can help to keep the peace and disperse any disagreements that may occur. You may also wish to hire a security guard if you work with lots of stock that people may shoplift as security guards are trained to spot and stop these criminals.

When working within any business it is important to consider your security options. You want your business to be safe by choosing the appropriate security services.

What Is VIP Protection?

Posted on May 19, 2021 at 11:09 am

VIP Protection in the security industry is exactly what you would think it is. The process of having security but with an executive protection plan. This is the perfect option for people creating businesses in high crime areas. It gives them the added protection to ensure their business is safe. Some other people who may ask for VIP protection include celebrities, politicians and other people of interest.

The way these protection works is basically having an undercover security officer who is protecting your business without being noticed. While this may seem like a job suitable for men. Women do actually make excellent VIP protection officers as it is much easier for them to blend in with the general crowd.

Their main role is to ensure the business or personnel is protected at all times. If anyone was to be put in harm’s way, they have the skills to control the situation and keep their area protected. They will know the best escape routes out of any situation to keep their person safe.

Up and Over Doors” Why are they still popular?

Posted on April 24, 2021 at 9:22 am

Up and over doors are seen in many houses, for security reasons or just because they look so good. Maybe you have a nice wooden front door with an up and over door. If this is the case it can be very attractive to see, but there are also some negative points about them.

The obvious one is that if you want to get into your house you will either need to use the key or you will need to climb right over it. In most cases people who want security choose the second option when they install their new up and over doors. Some of these do not even lock from the inside which means that your neighbours could go in at any time without disturbing anyone! Although they do provide a lot of protection against intruders!

With most up and over doors, you will be able to get in without stepping on them or damaging the door and this is a very good thing. When you have kids running around it is nice to be able to leave the front door open for them, while still having some extra security on your property. Also, these doors are built differently depending on their weight. They can work with just about anything that weighs less than 500 pounds so no matter if they are made from wood, metal or other materials they will not give way which means that you can rest easy knowing that no one can breach your home while you sleep at night!

Up and over doors are also very easy to clean and maintain. Take the Garador Up and Over doors as an example. These doors are built from wooden slats that are filled with high-density foam. This is also one of the reasons why customers love Garador Up and Over doors so much because they don’t require too much attention in terms of maintenance. Other than removing dust-bunnies or grime (if any), you won’t really need to do anything else but keep them clean!

Up and over garage doors will always be popular. They are most probably the only doors on your garage that will be visible from the street.

There are many reasons why up and over doors have kept their popularity, including:

  • They look good.
  • They open automatically so you can open them without having to get out of your car, which makes it easier when coming home with full hands.
  • Being able to drive straight into your garage means you don’t need to worry about reverse parking or squeezing between tight spaces.

However, some people may question whether they do actually save any space in comparison to other types of door such as automatic roller shutter doors (similar to a commercial door) as this definitely takes up less room, which is a valid point that’s worth considering. Do you, for example, want to move your car forward to open the door, or do you have enough driveway space that this wouldn’t be an issue?

Why Is Security Necessary?

Posted on April 21, 2021 at 1:53 pm

On our blog, we have spoken highly about different security systems and techniques. But we are yet to discuss why security is so important and why it is necessary. So, today we are going to focus our blog post on all about why security is so necessary, no matter whether it is for your home, small business, or large business.

One of the main reasons why security is necessary for everyone is of course the added safety. Installing any form of security systems, or taking extra precautions with your security helps to add an extra layer of protection. It helps your home or business to feel much safe than it was once before.

Another reason why we believe security is necessary for everyone is due to our own mental health. It is known that when extra security measures are in place we feel safer. Therefore meaning that we are worrying and stressing less. Helping us to feel more relaxed than we were before.

Security is also necessary for those homes or businesses in high crime and public areas. This is because it helps you to cover your own back. If something was to happen outside your property you will be able to provide evidence with CCTV cameras to show who was at fault.

Finally, we believe that placing extra security measures in place is necessary for your own safety. You want to feel safe in your home and workplace and the best way to do that is by making it secure. Whether this is by installing alarm systems, CCTV or other security techniques. All will help to improve the safety of everyone on the property.

So, after reading our article on why security is necessary, will you be taking the leap and installing some extra security features to your property.

Are Monitored Alarm Systems Worth The Cost?

Posted on February 18, 2021 at 11:46 am

Monitored alarm systems, the same as any other alarm system, with an added perk. These ones are monitored so you, the alarm company or/and the police will be notified if the alarm is sounded. Today, we are going to share with you the many benefits of these alarm systems and why they are worth the extra cost.

1- Police Notification
The main benefit of this alarm system is of course the fact that your local police will be notified when the alarm is sounded. This will help you to feel as if your home is more protected when you are not there.

2- No More Relying On Neighbours
Relying on neighbours to tell you if there are any issues is ok if you get along with them. But the moment new neighbours come, or you have a horrible neighbour this can be an issue. With the monitored alarm system, you will be notified about your home. Meaning you will no longer need to rely on the good deed of your neighbours.

3- Thieve Deterrent
Having a monitored alarm system installed in your home will be an excellent thieve deterrent. With you or others being able to talk to any intruders over an intercom. Thieves will be put off of entering your home if they see this system for the fear of being caught. It is not worth the risk to them.

4-No More Noise Complaints
Most alarm systems have a long cut-off time. Meaning your alarm will sound for a long period, resulting in many noise complaints. With monitored alarm systems, the sound can be turned off remotely when someone checks into why the alarm is sounding. Helping to reduce the number of noise complaints your home receives.

These are our top four reasons as to why monitored alarm systems are worth the extra money.
