IED Protection to Guard Troops

UK troops have suffered over the years because of constant explosive devices. They are mostly targeted when on foot and happen just randomly. It ends up killing more troops than expected and over the years measures have been put in place for IED protection to guard troops to protect troops from these attacks and most of them haven’t worked. All the strategies that were put in place never worked and an option of withdrawing the troops from the areas was never an option. New measures have now been proposed, and these are being touted to be more effective and will help keep troops alert and will minimize casualties if not to eliminate the chances of troops losing their lives.
Troops are advised to tag the suspected areas that might contain improvised explosive devices. This may be done using devices that will make it possible for easier identification. It will be like calling in support from the air using helicopters. Vehicles that the troops travel in should be protected using reactive armour on the bottom of the vehicle because that is where the vehicle is mostly hit. This should be used instead of the small plates that are kept under the vehicles.
Another option is to use a frequency pod that sends out continuous frequency at all bands that would be able to trigger all devices within a certain mile radius to detonate. This becomes possible when the burst of energy and frequency makes it possible to detonate any explosives in the area. So a helicopter hovers around the different areas where troops walk around and frequency pods are let out to detect any explosive devices in the area, and they are quickly detonated. As long as no troops are around no one will be affected by this, and it will help to reduce any devices that may have been hidden in the area. There are also devices which are detonated using remote devices and so it should be possible to jam or block signals within a certain area. This helps in IED protection to guard troops.
Many methods for IED protection to guard troops have been used that have not helped at all. There are times when dogs and robots are used by the UK government, but this is an absolutely bad idea because instead of it being an effective idea the dogs and robots only end up detonating the explosives, and it only causes injury or even death. Some other times the troops themselves go into the area or to the field to try and figure out for themselves how to detect devices and still they end up being casualties which ends up costing them.
The UK government should invest in highly technical or high technology devices. These devices are the ones which mostly work, and they give positive results though not 100% of the time. They are effective because they detect explosives faster and accurately which makes it easier for the troops to detonate them once they are spotted. It should be noted that when screening is done for these explosives the troops shouldn’t be around the area. The best improvised explosive devices protection to guard troops is the one done when they are nowhere near. It is important to note that, always.
